URAC comprises a network of both local and international experts and associates that complement its capacity for the delivery of quality services. The experts are experienced professionals, academics and practitioners in various fields. The majority of the local experts have experience in universities, multilateral organisations, government institutions, and non-governmental organisations.
Associate consultants and affiliates are drawn from universities abroad, international organizations, and private firms. URAC also utilizes university students as research and training assistants, interns and apprentices

Prof. Wiseman Chirwa
Director of Research

Prof. Chirwa is a social researcher with expertise in political transitions and democratic governance, public health systems, labour migration, land governance and agrarian change, livelihoods and rural transformation, and political economy analysis. He has published widely. He has spent his entire career teaching at the University of Malawi where he also once headed the Centre for Social Research (CSR).

Assoc.Prof. Manda is an urban planner with experience in policy formulation, disaster risk management, land governance, community engagement.
